What I would do if I weren't afraid!

False Evidence Appearing Real (FEAR)

Today I thought long, and hard to myself, “What would I do if I weren’t afraid?”

And that’s a question that I would love for you to just stop and think about for a while…

When I was a little child, I was that kid who was always different. Don’t get me wrong… different is nice but it’s not always pretty enough! I grew up in fear…afraid to stand before people and give my opinion…afraid of whether I was really good enough…afraid of failure…afraid to stand out in the crowd…I was a sad, discontent child!

Over the years, I knew I wanted to be a better person, but I wasn’t really sure how!

Well, I can tell you with all certainty that I am not that human being anymore…eventually, I came to understand that I owe no one an explanation for my existence…that there is a pulpit of influence that only I can stand on…and that I can only do my best and control events that are in my power, and not beyond me.

Fear! It’s a bondage of sorts! Many times we do not live to our fullest potential because of fear…many people live up to certain expectations because they are afraid of what people will say…many times we’d rather cling to a hell we know rather than a heaven that is uncertain…the fear of plunging into the unknown, huh?

What is that one thing that you would do if you weren’t afraid….

Would you plunge into a new direction unreservedly…it always feels nice not to be controlled by one’s fear. What you are afraid of? is never as bad as what you imagine. The fear you let build up in your mind is worse than the situation that actually exists.

"There is always a need to adapt fast, for if you do not adapt in time, you might as well not adapt at all! There is always new cheese out there whether I recognize it or not…and I am always rewarded with it when I go past my fear and enjoy the adventure." (Dr. Spencer Johnson's words, in 'Who Moved My Cheese')

See, life is too short not to live it to the fullest. Fear? False Evidence Appearing Real! I dare you…what would you do if you weren’t afraid?

As usual, many thanks for stopping by! Comment, subscribe, share :)

But most importantly? Enjoy a blessed and favoured rest of the week.

Warm regards,
